Well, I have been so busy lately that I really haven't had much time to write anything. So, I thought I would just throw out a quick update on what has been going on.
First, an alluring Affair, the all inclusive crossdress and transgender vacation/conference package that I am hosting, has been rolling along beautifully. There has been a lot of interest from a number of sisters who are looking for a place to go out en femme for the first time. It is not surprising since the enclosed nature of the resort creates a safe environment for any person going out for their first time dressed. You pick and choose how much, or little, you want to interact with the general public. Everything has been set up in a way to maximize the first time cross-dressers comfort so they can relax and enjoy the event without worrying about being hassled or attacked. And the staff of Deerhurst are thrilled that we will be there and are looking forward to treating us as the princesses we are.
Speaking of an alluring Affair, though, I did have to make a correction. I have been telling everyone that their registration fees covered accommodations in the Pavilion rooms. Turns out I couldn't have been more wrong. I was informed last night that the rooms we will be getting are called Junior suites. These rooms have a separate living area (with fireplace), kitchenette and are in a separate building called a sports villa. The villa features a common area where all the girls can gather to just hang out or party to their hearts content. They are also adjacent to the main pavilion so it is a short walk to all the great events offered by an alluring Affair. Don't forget, the low registration price includes free admission to all the workshops, the Vegas style show (which launched Shania Twain), the dance, 5 meals and two nights accommodations. What else? Well, I have been working on creating an online, subscription based magazine for cross-dressers and transgendered people. The concept will feature news, entertainment, tips, travel and reviews from around the world. It will be in a multi-media format including video reports. I am hoping to also have a section for reports from transgender youth and female to male trans people. Stay tuned for more on that as time goes by.
The other big thing is I have become involved in the Sarnia-Lambton Pride organization. Until last week I thought the concept was dead but then discovered a small Facebook group for it. After looking at their website I contacted the admin with some suggestions and now it would seem I am part of the pride committee. The biggest challenge at the moment is to get the word out that their is a Pride so we can make it as successful as possible. The bigger it is this year the better we can do for next year. The drawback is I was very much looking forward to going to the Windsor, Ontario Pride this year but they are on back to back weekends so it would be a little much. But, if I can get my magazine concept up and running then I would have to attend both next year to be able to report on them. And, of course, Toronto Pride and Chatham-Kent Pride and Tri-Pride and Hamilton Pride and Detroit Pride, etc, etc. Now you can see why I want to make the magazine successful, lol.

Going Out En Femme For Your First Crossdressed Outing, This is The Place To Go
I've had some questions recently which got me to thinking about going out for the first time en femme. As a crossdresser this can be one of the scariest moments of your life and it especially difficult if you have no one to go with.
I remember my first time and I was terrified. I had decided to attend a gay pride in another city so I would not have to be worried about running into somebody I knew. I picked a hotel close to where the entertainment was taking place, packed all my crossdressing clothes, shoes, makeup and accessories and headed off full of anticipation of my first time in public en femme.
After checking into my hotel I started the preparations, shaving my legs and face, putting on my makeup and getting dressed. Wearing a short skirt, stockings and pumps I was ready to go and then it struck me. Even though the venue was only about a 5 minute walk away I still had to leave the room, take the elevator down to the lobby, go through the lobby and walk down a public street to get there. That is when the shakes started.
I would like to say that I was brave, held my head high and strode out of my room and embraced my first time out en femme but the reality was much different. Instead, there I sat, completely cross-dressed on the bed and hid. When I looked in the mirror I did not see a passable transgender person but some guy with too much makeup dressed like a woman, a fake, a fraud.
Eventually, once it became dark out, I screwed up enough courage to leave my room. After looking through the peep hole in the door to make sure the hallway was empty I slinked out of my room and, to avoid running into anybody else, walked down 6 flights of stairs and out a side door in 5" heels. Not exactly the most stellar moment in my life as a crossdresser.
And that is where my recent thinking starts. I have come a long way since then with outings to a local bar, the running of my store and now my new crossdressing vacation, an alluring Affair. I realized that if something like an alluring Affair had been available it would have alleviated some of my fear and made for a much more enjoyable first time out en femme.
Why is this? Because an alluring Affair is completely self enclosed. Once you arrive and change into your female persona you choose how much or little contact you have with the non-crossdressing public. Your accomodations and the conference are at the same place so the you can go from your room to the event without ever going outside. And also, you will be surrounded by other crossdressed and transgender people so you won't be alone like I was.
There will be no reason to cower in your room or avoid the elevators since chances are there will be other gurls right there with you. And you won't have to worry about the staff since not only are they expecting you to be en femme, they are looking forward to hosting this crossdress weekend. In fact, the award winning chef at Deerhurst, where we are holding this crossdress holiday, is already figuring fun new ways to present the meals (there was some mention of a chocolate mousse fountain cascading out of a chocolate high heel shoe)
The only drawback for the first time crossdress outing is that this event will spoil you, making it so you don't want to go back to the real world. Between the luxurious accomodations, first rate food (you won't find roast beef under a heat lamp at this venue), professional entertainment and all the fun things there are to do you won't want it to stop. Don't forget, this is the site of the 2010 G8 summit so you will be staying and eating like President Obama will next year. When was the last time you heard of a crossdresser who could boast they were treated like royalty while en femme?
Of course, there is also the problem of choosing what to do in the your female attire. After all, if the weather has cooperated, you can go horseback riding or play 18 holes of golf. For the more outdoor oriented you can go for a hike, rent a bike, take a hummer tour or go for a canoe trip in Algonquin park. Get together with some of the other gurls at an alluring Affair and you could even organize a paintball outing. And, if you don't want to actually leave the building, you could always see about playing a game of tennis at Deerhurst's indoor sportsplex, play some squash, take advantage of the fitness room or just relax at the indoor pool and hottub. Oh yeah, and don't forget to take advantage of the on site spa.
Of course there are the workshops as well. Whether you want to learn how to do crossdress makeup, find your feminine voice or walk like a girl, there is a workshop for you. And because an alluring Affair is all about fun, we have included workshops for that as well. Ever thought about being a drag queen and performing in shows? Then our dance workshop is perfect for the exhibitionist crossdresser because not only will you be taught how to dance in high heels you get to perform in show that night. Or, if you have gotten over your initial fear, head into town and do some shopping.

And some of it prompted us to develop a payment plan to make it easier to attend and to allow people to take advantage of the current exchange rate discount.
The Canadian dollar is increasing in value against the American dollar and we don’t know how long we’ll be able to continue to offer this great price. By placing your deposit now, you are guaranteed attendance at the event and you get it at the great discounted price.
Our new payment plan allows you to place a deposit of $150 (US) and then pay the remainder in two further installments. The first installment is due by the end of June and the final payment is due at the end of September. The remaining two payments for a single occupancy with no extra nights would be $240(US) each.
